If You Could Ask God One Question
Every morning in 2nd grade we do a journal entry. One of our questions last week was, "If you could ask God one question, what would you ask?" Here are a few of my students answers (many gave me a chuckle!):
If I could ask God one question, I would ask...
-"for him to be my friend."
-"can I come to heaven? If God pick me I be happy."
-"can I go to heaven and become an angel." Then after a little theology lesson on how people don't become angels :) he switched it to "can I go to heaven to see an angel fly?"
-"how old are you?"
-"to be a police officer."
-"give me a good week."
-"for joy because I want to be happy."
-"do you love me because I want to go to heaven."
-"to make me pass."
-"where is your mom because I like his mom."
-"for a house because I need a house for people who don't have a house."
-"I will go to heaven with you because I want to see Jesus because he die for us to save us and he will give us water."
-One kid originally said "I would ask my parents because God can't hear me." After asking what he meant, he said he isn't loud enough! After assuring him that God could hear him even if he wasn't loud he then decided to ask God "for a Bible."
Happy Monday!
